I have had one balky hamstring for the past couple of years and have tried all sorts of combos to try and give it help when I tweak it - Ace bandages, various wraps etc. Nothing has worked at all. I go out on the soccer field and literally 5 minutes into the game, whatever it is that I've put around my thigh slips to my ankle.So I decided to try one more thing - a wrap with these compression shorts. Though the compression of the shorts is decent enough, it definitely isn't enough to support my dodgy hamstring by itself. If someone is just looking for a little extra support, I think these could definitely work as long as expectations weren't too high.HOWEVER, where these shorts have worked absolute wonders for me is in combination with one of my wraps. Get the wrap good and tight around my thigh, slip on these shorts and voila!! I'm in business. I've played multiple times with the two together, and, finally, I feel like I can run with great support. No slippage of the wrap at all, being held in place with the shorts.
